Community rules

Language

This is a courtesy translation of the French original. In case of divergence, the French version prevails.

Purpose

These rules state what gammonGo moderation removes, what you are notified of and how to appeal a decision. They clarify the terms of use, which prevail.

Spam

Unsolicited advertising, repeated messages, misleading or automated links.

Harassment

Personal attacks, intimidation, threats, insisting toward someone who refused contact.

Offensive content

Hateful, discriminatory, violent or sexually explicit remarks.

Cheating / fraud

Outside help during a ranked game, manipulating results or rankings, impersonation.

Locked content redistributed without permission

Republishing, even in part, a locked article or another author's content without their consent.

Person below the minimum age

An account held by a person under 15. After verification, it is suspended then deleted with its data, unless proof of the required age is given.

Other

Any illegal content or content infringing third-party rights, even outside the categories above.

Decisions

On content, moderation hides it (reversible) or deletes it (permanent); on an account, it warns, suspends for a set period or bans.

A decision on content and a warning are notified to you with the rule applied, the reason when the moderator wrote one, and their scope: this content only, or your account. A suspension or ban is not notified in the app: to learn the reason and, for a suspension, the end date, write to the team through the "Contact the team" form (/contact), available without signing in, or to contact@gammongo.net (see Appeal).

Every decision is taken by a moderator. An automatic word filter may only flag content; the notification says so when it does.

Appeal

A decision notified in the app is contested with the "Contest" button of its notification. A suspension or ban is contested through the "Contact the team" form (/contact), available without an active account, or at contact@gammongo.net. The appeal is reviewed by a moderator other than the author of the decision, and you receive a reasoned answer.

This appeal does not deprive you of any other amicable or judicial remedy.
