Privacy policy
Version v1 — in effect since 2026-10-15.
Language
This is a courtesy translation of the French original. In case of divergence, the French version prevails.
Data controller
Kévin Unger, publisher of gammonGo (the "publisher"). Address: address not provided at this time. Other details: see the legal notice.
For any question about your data: contact@gammongo.net.
Data collected
Account: username, e-mail address, password (hashed), preferred language.
Profile: display name, bio, avatar, platform handles, video channels (provided by you).
Social content: shared positions, comments, likes, follows, bookmarks, articles, clubs, tournaments.
Subscription: status, plan, dates. Once payments open, they will be processed by Paddle (see "Recipients"), which will receive card data: gammonGo will never see it.
Technical: server logs (IP address, timestamp) for security and proper operation.
Purposes and legal bases
Providing the service (performance of the contract): account, profile, social and study features.
Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest): logs, rate limiting.
E-mail notifications (consent): off by default, opt-in per type.
Subscription and invoicing (performance of the contract / legal obligation for invoices).
Cookies and local storage
gammonGo uses strictly functional cookies and local storage (authentication session, language and theme preferences).
Visits without an account: when you answer a position without being registered, a functional cookie stores a random identifier, unrelated to your identity, whose only purpose is to remember which positions you have already seen analysed. It is set only when you answer, lasts at most 30 days, is shared with no third party and is not used for audience measurement. If you create an account, this progress is carried over and the cookie is deleted.
No advertising tracker or third-party tracking cookie is used at present; a consent banner will be added if that changes.
Retention
Account data is kept as long as the account exists.
When the account is deleted, personal data is deleted or anonymised; public content may be kept in anonymised form.
Invoices are kept as required by law.
Your rights (GDPR)
Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, restriction.
Self-service tools: export your data and delete your account from your settings.
You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (the CNIL in France).
Recipients and processors
Hosting (see the legal notice) and e-mail delivery (SMTP2GO).
Payment and invoicing, once paid subscriptions open: Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), reseller and Merchant of Record, will handle the order, the payment, the VAT and the invoice. Paddle will receive your e-mail address, your country and your payment data, and will act as an independent controller for that; see its privacy policy at paddle.com.
The analysis engine (blunderDB) is internal and never exposed publicly.
